Old Navy Calle Madero
Mexico City, Mexico
Old Navy Calle Madero is a 4-story 25,000 sf lease space in historic downtown Mexico City. The goal was to transform this ancient building into a modern shopping experience for the Old Navy brand while maintaining the charm and historical character of the building.
New vertical transportation was integrated into the multi-level store and the mechanical solutions included 36 VRF cassettes for low ceiling conditions, a Dedicated Outdoor Air System for ventilation, an enclosed 23kV electric substation on the roof with a diesel generator to supplement the inconsistent utility grid, and the plumbing required a new underground cistern to collect city water before pumping it to an elevated tinaco on the roof generating water pressure for the plumbing.
